St Barrwg’s Church | Original Hand Printed Linocut Print

£40.00

An open edition original linocut hand carved and printed by myself based on the Church of St. Barrwg’s, Bedwas.

The fourteenth century church of St. Barrwgs retains much of its original fabric and medieval features, such as its saddleback tower, west doorway and one of the north nave windows. Inside, a panelled wagon roof bridges the nave. Its font is Norman and has a distinctive cable moulding around its base. Outside in the churchyard to the east of the south porch, are the remains of an early 14th Century medieval preaching cross. In the southeast corner is a monument to the Price Family; this is the family tomb of the infamous and radical Dr. William Price, politician and advocate of cremation.

Overall paper size is A4 but the print itself is smaller, allowing for a border around the inked design where the print can be trimmed and framed if you so wish.
